Welcome to the Department of Political Science .

                         The Department of Political Science at Pipli Degree College is an academically vibrant department. It was established in the year 1991 with an initial student intake of 16 seats. Over the years, the department has expanded, and now each batch consists of 40 students across 1st year, 2nd year, and 3rd-year Honours. With the implementation of the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) in the 2015-16 session, the student intake is expected to increase further. This system aligns with the guidelines set by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha.

                         The department boasts a team of three experienced faculty members who are dedicated to delivering high-quality education. The curriculum follows a systematically designed syllabus prescribed by Utkal University. In addition to classroom learning, the department actively engages students in seminars, debates, discussions, and various competitions to enhance their academic excellence. These activities provide students with a platform to develop their critical thinking and communication skills. Upon completion of their studies, students have the opportunity to pursue higher education or explore various career options in fields such as public administration, law, research, and civil services.
