The Department of Economics is one of the premier department of Pipli College and has been functioning since 2011. This department offers an undergraduate B.A. (Honours) in Economics, covering major sub-disciplines such as: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Development Economics, Econometrics, International Economics, Public Finance, Environmental Economics, Agricultural Economics.

                    The department boasts a team of excellent faculty members with strong academic records, dedicated to imparting high-quality education to undergraduate students. Students graduating from this department have been successfully placed in both government and non-government sectors. The faculty members of the Department of Economics are actively engaged in teaching and research work.

                    The department organizes extracurricular activities on various topics to benefit both students and faculty. Additionally, faculty members regularly participate in seminars to stay updated in their research areas and enhance their teaching-learning skills.The department has a seminar library with a good collection of books. Over the years, the department has consistently expanded its resources to support academic growth.The department actively conducts seminars and academic events to enrich the learning experience of students.
