Welcome to the Department Of Chemistry !
The Department of Chemistry has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 2007 to advance chemical sciences by educating undergraduate students with quality classrooms, laboratories, and service opportunities. It has completed 18 glorious years in its pursuit of excellence. The department offers a UG (Chemistry Honours) program with an intake capacity of 32×3 = 96 students, fostering an aptitude for research, innovation, and leadership.
In transition towards Modern Pedagogical Practices the college adopted the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) in the academic session 2016. From the current academic session (2024-25), the department has implemented the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aligning with contemporary educational reforms and ensuring holistic academic development.
The faculty members of the department possess excellent academic credentials and are actively engaged in teaching and research. The department organizes extracurricular lectures on various topics to benefit both students and faculty. Additionally, faculty members regularly participate in seminars to stay updated in their research areas and enhance their teaching-learning skills.
The department is equipped with well-furnished laboratories for practical sessions and a seminar library with a good collection of books. Over the years, the department has consistently expanded its resources to support academic growth. The department actively conducts seminars and academic events to enrich the learning experience of students.
