COLLEGE RULES FOR STUDENTS
- The academic session of the college is from June to may.
- Each student must register his/her residential address in the college office. any change in the address provided must be intimated to the office in writing.
- Under regulations of +2 council and university a student, to be eligible for being sent up for council or university , examination is mandatory to attend and in each subject , a minimum of 75% of lectures, tutorials , practicals etc. to be calculated separately.
- The higher secondary board and Utkal university will consider application for shortage of attendance only in exceptional cases i.e if it falls between 60% and 75%.
- Students are advised not to remain absent from classes ; otherwise they are liable to be detained irrespective of their performance in college examination.
- Students , having less than 60% of attendance in each subject offered, shall not be promoted to the next higher higher class or shall not be sent up to fill the forms for CHSE/UU exams.
- Fees are received only on the days fixed and notified for fee collection or day fixed by the principal with default fine.if a student fails to pay fees n due time , his/her name shall be struck off the role on first of next month and attendance shall not be recorded untill he/she is readmitted.
- Any students who absent himself from any end- term examination without being permitted exemption by the principal shall be fined accordingly as designated for each paper from which he/she is absent. willful absence from any such examination will make him/her liable to have his/her promotion withheld.
- Students of the college are forbidden to get themselves registered for any outside club and/or athletic association without taking prior permission from the principal.
- No club or society should be maintained in the college and no function should be organised without the approval from the principal.
- Students must abide by hygenic principles and submit themselves to such anti-epidemic measures as laid down by the principal from time to time.
- Students attending political meetings should conduct themselves so as not to bring them into undesirable prominence and they are not allowed to hold any political meetings within college preimises.
- Students are advised to meet the principal after obtaining his permission only in urgent cases.
- Students should not ordinarily enter the college office .
- Students found copying or adopting any unfair links in examination shall be severely dealt with and are liable to be reported against or have their promotion withheld as the principal decides.
- Free studentship and financial aid from S.S.G shall be withdrawn from a students if he/she is found irregular in attending classes/ examination or if he/she is involved in any act of indiscipline.
- Each students shall come to college with proper uniform as designated.
- Cycles must be padlocked and kept in the cycle stand.
COLLEGE DISCIPLINE
- Students of the college must abide by orders of the principal as are necessary to enforce discipline and dignity of the institution. violation of the principals order is a serious offence as is liable to either fine or rustication , according to the nature of offence.
- Students should take their seat before the lecturer enters the classroom and should not enter the class during the lecturer , without seeking permission of the lecturer. students are generally not allowed to ask any question during the lecture and any doubt on the topic should be clarified in the end .
- A student found creating disturbance intentionally and deliberately during the lecture shall be immediately brought to the notice of the principal.
- Scribbling, pasting bills, writing on blackboard and disfiguring the college wall are strictly prohibited.
- Spitting on the walls, floors, pillars or doors of the college is strictly prohibited.
- Students are forbidden to loiter in corridor and verandah when the classes are going on.
- Misbehaviour of the college students in any of the college matches , competitions and functions shall be regarded as breach of college discipline.
- Students shall not leave the hall or room in the midst of any class.
- Students should stand in a queue while waiting to pay their tuition fees or for other purposes.
- Students must , at all places and particularly in the college or playground or while attending meetings , conduct themselves in a disciplined and dignified way.
- Breach of college discipline shall lead to expulsion of the students and decision of the principal in such matter will be final and binding.
- Members of the teaching staff are requested to use their influence on students to promote the observance of discipline within the college premises whenever they are in the college and to report to the principal in case of deliberate, disobedience and misbehaviour.
- Students are warned against handling bicycles or other vehicles which are not their own.
- Students are warned not to use horns, bells , crackers , loud speakers and also not to make any sort of unusual sound which may create noise pollution in the college premises.
- Students are strictly warned not to tamper lights , fans , switches , gas and water taps and other types of fitting furniture and equippments etc.
- Students are requested as a rule to bring their identity cards to the college everyday and produce them for verification , as and when necessary.
